Eyes Closed — The Dreams of Our Children
Anchorage, Alaska is home to children speaking more than one hundred different languages. For Eyes Closed, Shirley Mae Springer Staten and I interviewed nearly 70 of these children. We asked them about their dreams for themselves, for their communities, and for the world.
I wrote 19 of these children’s stories and compiled them in this atlas of cultural heritage and imagination.
